/dm - Anonymous Direct Message

The /dm command allows you to send anonymous direct messages to other Discord users.

Command Usage

/dm <target> <message>

How It Works

Anonymous Delivery

  1. Enter Details: Specify target and message
  2. Bot Delivery: Bot sends DM on your behalf
  3. Logging: Action logged for admin review

  • Admins can see logs

Limitations

Discord DM Restrictions

Users cannot receive DMs if:

  • DMs are disabled server-wide
  • They have never DMed the bot
  • They have blocked the bot
  • Privacy settings block server members

Bot Limitations

  • Must share server with target
  • Bot must be authorized
  • Standard Discord rate limits

Privacy Notes

For Senders

  • Identity hidden from recipient
  • Logged for admins
  • Not truly anonymous to server owners

For Recipients

  • Cannot reply anonymously
  • Can block bot to stop future DMs
  • No way to identify sender

Troubleshooting

"could not dm this user"

  • User has DMs disabled
  • User blocked the bot
  • Bot can't initiate DM
